2022 Best Haunted Houses Near the Twin Cities

Haunted Houses are in full swing!  If you have not yet done it, it may be time to get your scare on. Some Haunted Houses can be quite a trip as well as a few bucks, but we have a list of some of the best ones. There is even a haunt that has the “not so scary” option to select. Below are some of the top Haunts that will be worth your travel time and money if you want to get a good scare.  

  1.  Scream Town - Chaska, MN.  7410 US-212, Chaska, MN.  Scream Town is a Twin Cities staple, featuring 7 different attractions.  You will find the Zombie Apocalypse, Abandoned Down the Rabbit Hole and Ludicrous Labyrinth.  Scream Town has been selected as Minnesota’s Best Haunted House in 2022 according to Ranker.   They are family friendly, yet still extremely scary.   The entry to the attractions are timed to cut down on line waits.  https://screamtown.com/ 

  2. The Haunting Experience on HWY 61 -10900 E Point Douglas Rd, Cottage Grove .   3.  Anoka Haunted House - Anoka County Fairgrounds, 3200 St Francis Blvd NW, Anoka.  The Anoka Haunted House has been in business for over 30 years and benefits local organizations all over Anoka, giving back to the community each year it is in operation.  The tickets are reasonable and you can even get discounts by bringing non-perishable food donations.  Even the actors in the haunted house are local high school students that love giving a good scare.  https://anokahauntedhouse.us/ 

  4. The Dead End Hayride - 28186 Kettle River Blvd N, Wyoming.  Though this may not be a haunted house by definition, it is still a very scary haunted attraction.  It is so scary that children are not allowed.  The monsters and ghouls are free to touch you, but they will not hurt you or harass you in any way.  This only makes it all more terrifying.  https://thedeadendhayride.com/ 

  5. The Trail of Terror - 3525 145th St W, Shakopee. The largest Halloween event in all of the midwest.  There are multiple terrifying rooms, each one more scary than the last.  After going through the maze of mayhem, you will find yourself lost in the woods.There is even a haunted swamp that is waiting for you.  https://www.trailofterrormn.com/ 

  6. Monster Bash Haunted House - 150 1st St NW, Harmony.   Entirely non-profit and used to benefit the community arts programs in Harmony.  Each year they produce a new, uniquely themed haunt.  This year’s theme is Slim Chance.  This haunt does offer less scary options for the haunted house, but the environment is designed to be scary and will likely bleed over from other groups.  https://www.monsterbashhauntedhouse.org/the-haunt
